Dimeji Falana, BSc. Computer Science and MBA Business Administration, the University of Chester, United Kingdom - A tech entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in Software and digital innovation development for Banks, Universities, and governments. He was a trainer at the 2011 Massachusetts Institute of Technology AITI Summer program. He has mentored and led various generations of Software developers on over 20 Software projects (SaaS, ERP, Mobile Apps, Generative AI etc) successfully with tech skills in AWS, PHP, MySql, Cloud Computing, Web Services and more. Also, he has globally recognised knowledge of venture building, strategic management, international business expansion, and startup fundraising, as well as connected knowledge of the software product engineering journey to a market to give and capture values for the stakeholders. Recently, he was endorsed by the United Kingdom government as a Global Talent in the Leadership category. He has travelled to over twenty countries, including North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, where he has spoken and attended conferences, exhibitions, boot camps, and workshops on education technology and startup business growth programs. He was a member of a paramilitary organization for seven years, where he led as a parade commandant and received awards and medals. Under his leadership, Edves won the Best Prize for Transforming Education at the Seedstars World Summit 2018 in Switzerland. Dimeji is a 2016 CChub-Intel Growth Academy alumnus in Lagos, a 2018 Fellow of Jacobs Foundation in Switzerland, a 2018 Seedstars alumnus, a 2019 Fellow of Westerwelle Foundation Berlin Germany, a 2019 MindCET Go alumnus in Tel Aviv Israel, a 2020 delegate of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung to German Bundestag in Berlin and a 2021 delegate of Africa-France Summit in Paris France. In 2022, he was invited by ASU-GSV to speak at the global Edtech event in San Diego, USA. He was a mentor at the 2019 Facebook Accelerator Programme Lagos and a volunteer faculty member of Tekedia Mini MBA in 2020 and 2023 Global Vision Initiative in the United Kingdom. He won the inaugural Startup MBA Award 2023 at the Chester Business School, University of Chester, United Kingdom. Leading 42 staff on a vision to ‘reimagine education and make learning easy’, Dimeji is a unique leader who has mastered influencing his team for success. He has demonstrated track records of accomplishment, growing an Edtech startup from zero to over $1m in revenue and serving over 500,000 users in 11 countries. His Edtech company signed a partnership with Enugu and Anambra States to improve teaching and learning leveraging Artificial Intelligence. Dimeji is willing to take on added responsibilities to meet organisational goals.
