Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George-Kelly

Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George-Kelly is a graduate of Rivers State University where he bagged a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying and two years later , a post graduate diploma in Civil Engineering.He proceeded further to obtain a Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Cost Engineering at the Enugu State University of Technology and a few years later obtained a Ph.D degree in Construction Management. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and the former National Secretary, Marketing and Corporate Affairs , N.I.Q.S. He is a registered member of the Quantity Surveying Registration Board of Nigeria and has authored several research publications in reputable international journals. He is a Fellow of the Association of Cost Engineers International in U.S.A and a member of the Project Management Institute, Houston Texas. He is a member of the World Strategy Conference and a Fellow of the Association of Strategy Professionals. He worked with the Niger Delta Development Commission as a Principal Manager , Infrastructure Development and Projects Monitoring for sixteen years and resigned voluntarily to join politics . He was appointed Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Special Projects twice by the immediate past government and served in this capacity from 2017 to 2022. In June 2022 he was again appointed as Commissioner for Works, Rivers State until the expiration of the former administration in May 2023. On the 30th and 31st of May 2023 , he was again re-appointment as Commissioner for Works , Rivers State by the present Governor of Rivers State and is still serving in that capacity till date . He is blessed with a wife Dr. Inkoba George , a Fellow of ICAN and three lovely kids, Vera , Godsson and Godswill.
